​​​​​Dr. Mona Patel has been providing comprehensive eye care to the Panama City Beach area and its surrounding communities since 2012. With a focus on delivering high-quality healthcare in a concierge-style environment, she founded The Eye Studio to offer advanced treatments and the latest technology. Dr. Patel takes a holistic approach to eye care, combining ocular wellness with aesthetics to enhance both vision and overall well-being, helping her patients enjoy a lifetime of healthy sight.

Originally from Central Illinois, Dr. Patel knew from an early age that she wanted to pursue optometry. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a minor in Business Administration from Illinois Wesleyan University before going on to complete her Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree in 2004 at the Illinois College of Optometry, where she graduated with honors. Dr. Patel has since pursued advanced training in low vision, pediatrics, specialty contact lenses, and ocular disease. She is passionate about building strong relationships with her patients and takes pride in offering exceptional eye care.

Dr. Patel began her career in optometry in Chicago, where she was involved in both clinical care and practice management. In 2006, she moved to New Orleans to join the Ochsner Clinic’s ophthalmology group, where she focused on primary care optometry, including the treatment and management of ocular disease, diabetic eye complications, glaucoma, contact lens fitting, and co-managing cataract and refractive surgeries. She also contributed to the education of optometry and ophthalmology students and residents. In 2010, she relocated to Panama City Beach, where she has continued to practice full-scope optometry.

Dr. Patel and her family reside in Panama City Beach. Her husband is an Interventional Cardiologist with the Cardiovascular Institute of Northwest Florida, and they are the proud parents of two sets of energetic twin boys who love playing sports. In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys working out, traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors.
